Natacha May - Principal Psychologist

Natacha is a Registered Psychologist with over 12 years of experience in the public and private sector, working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Natacha’s warm and transparent approach allows clients to explore their mental health in a safe environment. She has a person-centred approach fostering a collaborative relationship with clients in developing personal goals and strengthening resilience. She is highly influenced by attachment paradigms in her approach to therapy.
She has a special interest in eating disorders and child and adolescent mental health. Natacha has worked with severe presentations for 10 of her 12 years as a Psychologist and thus feels she is able to provide clients and families with an environment where they can explore their difficulties without the anxiety that is sometimes associated with more complex presentations.
Natacha has had significant experience with eating disorders, single event and complex trauma, attachment, anxiety disorders particularly obsessive compulsive disorder, mood disorders, emotional dysregulation, behaviour management and parenting.
Natacha is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy – Enhanced for Eating Disorders (CBT-E), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy for Eating Disorders (DBT-E), Family Based Therapy for Anorexia Nervosa (FBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focussed CBT, Circle of Security, Dialectical and Behaviour Therapy (DBT) as well as training is Bruce Perry’s Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics to work with at risk children. Natacha’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Psychology with Honours. She is also an accredited Trauma Focussed CBT Supervisor and APHRA accredited Supervisor.
